Waratahs player Kurtley Beale has been charged following his arrest on Friday, over an alleged sexual assault that took place in Bondi last December.
Beale has been charged with “two counts of sexually touch another person without consent, incite another to sexually touch them without consent and sexual intercourse without consent,” according to a NSW police statement.
Beale was taken into custody after a 28-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi on December 17, 2022.
After being charged, the 34-year-old former Wallaby was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 21st January.
Earlier this month, Beale was selected as one of 44 players named for a Wallabies camp on the Gold Coast, ahead of the upcoming 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
More to come.
