Icardi, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Paris Saint-Germain, subsequently sacked Wanda, 35, as his agent.
He then took a swipe at her after she was seen kissing a 22-year-old rapper, labelling her the “laughing stock of the world”.
Speaking about her break-up on Italian TV, Wanda broke down in tears.
“It hurts me because I am a person who believes in love forever,” she said.
“I believe in growing old next to the man I chose.
“But sometimes life surprises you and we must move forward, always look for happiness and show the children that whatever happens in life, one must always look for happiness.”
On Icardi’s alleged infidelity with actress China Suarez, she continued: “I knew everything about him.
“And it’s not that I found him or started looking for him and checking his phone, that’s not true.
“We sat down and he told me: ‘I want to tell you this.
“Mauro is a person who, even if it hurts, tells you the truth.
“I almost always argue with him because of this, because he is someone who tells you the truth, even if it hurts.
“And he told me that he had seen a person.”
Icardi, 29, is now rumoured to be dating Turkish actress Devrim Ozkan.
The Argentine was snapped holding hands with soap star Devrim.
