Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic beat Ross County 2-0

Ange Postecoglou has guided Celtic to another win as the Hoops continue on their path to Scottish Premiership glory.

Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic can all but seal the Scottish Premiership with a home win over arch rivals Rangers on Sunday.

A 2-0 weekend victory over Ross County kept leaders Celtic six points clear of second-placed Rangers, who beat Motherwell 3-1.

If Postecoglou’s men can beat Rangers, they will increase their advantage at the top of the table to nine points with just three matches to follow.

Also in Celtic’s favour is a vastly superior goal difference of 19, which means it would take a major miracle for the Hoops to be denied the title should they defeat Rangers this weekend.

“All we can do is keep playing our football and keep winning games,” former Socceroos coach Postecoglou said.

“If we keep doing that, then for all of us, we’ll get where we want to be.

“We’ve got another game next week which I’m sure everyone is looking forward to.”

Celtic’s 27th win of the Scottish Premiership season came courtesy of returning Japanese star Kyogo Furuhashi and Portuguese attacker Jota.

Furuhashi was starting his first match since Boxing Day after recovering from a serious hamstring injury.
“He’s a hell of a player and most teams would miss a player like him,” Postecoglou said.

“He’s worked hard to get back, so it was great for him to get a start.

“He has that little bit of magic about him, and hopefully that goal is a reward for him working hard to get back in the team.

“He’s still not super sharp. If he was, he would probably have had three today.”
